Rivier de Maas is 950 km lang en ontspringt in Frankrijk. Vanuit hier stroomt de Maas door België en Nederland. Bij Givet stroomt de Maas België binnen. Vervolgens stroomt de Maas naar Luik. Vooral het stuk van Dinant tot Luik staat bekend om haar hele grote Karpers! Uitschieters tot ver over de 25 kg zijn hier al meermaals gevangen! Dit hele mooie stuk Maas is ook bekend om haar moeilijk bereikbare stekken. Hier komen onze boten van pas! Alle topstekken zijn hierdoor bereikbaar! Bij Maastricht komt de Maas Nederland binnen.
